Adam Thielen: Just when Thielen was beginning to go nuclear, he got hit with COVID & had to miss last week's game against CAR. In the 2 games prior to missing the last one, he scored a pair of TDs in each of those games. While those matchups against CHI & DAL were good, he now gets his best matchup yet against a Jacksonville secondary that's in shambles. Thielen is slated to be covered by an undrafted corner, Luq Barcoo, who has only played in 2 games this season. In limited action he's allowed 5-50-1 on 8 targets. Thielen is one of my favorite overall plays for this weekend's slate. Not only because of his matchup, but because of the leverage he is going to provide off of the highly owned Dalvin Cook. If Cook for whatever reason underwhelms like he did last weekend & MIN finds themselves throwing because JAX happens to keep this game close, the MIN passing game will be the prime beneficiary.Thielen makes for a
Justin Jefferson: Similar to his teammate Thielen listed up above, Jefferson draws a great matchup against the depleted Jacksonville secondary. While he won't draw a matchup against an undrafted FA, he will go up against Tre Herndon who has been one of the worst cover corners in the league this season. Among the 83 starting corners in the league this season, Herdon ranks 77th in coverage with an abysmal PFF grade of 41.0. Jefferson has been nothing short of a superstar this season & he should continue to produce this weekend if the Vikings are forced to pass.
