Pitcher Rankings

Top Options

Jacob DeGrom: Unlike Thor, I fully expect The DeGrominator to come out & shove against the Marlins. DeGrom has caught fire once again, going 7+ innings in 7 straight starts & hasn’t given up a single run over the last 3 while striking out at least 8 in each one of those. DeGrom on the season is 4-1 against the Marlins w/ a 2.90 ERA. Marlins also have the lowest IRT of the night at 2.04.

Shane Bieber: I expect Bieber to go out & emulate or maybe even surpass what Clevinger did last night. Clevinger pitched 7 innings of scoreless baseball with 10 strikeouts. We know how much the WhiteSox strikeout as a team vs. RHP (28%), but tonight each individual hitter in their lineup has a K rate > 20%! Only factor of concern would be the weather, but even then I won’t be fading Bieber at all.

Secondary Options

Zac Greinke: His matchup vs. the Mariners tonight should help him get back on track. My main concern with Greinke tonight is that the Mariners are starting 7 lefties against him, and he hasn’t been striking them out a lot over the last month (19.3%). Still think Greinke is in play tonight due to the fact that the Mariners aren’t a good team (14 K’s last night lol). I will likely match the field on Greinke’s ownership % tonight.

Dinelson Lamet: On the surface you would think that his matchup tonight is against LAD is a bad one, but not so fast…In his last 4 starts, where he turned the corner on his season, his K rate is 38.5%! It’s not like he is only striking out righties (44.1%), he is doing a great job with lefties too (35.1%) & the Dodgers heavy hitters come from that side. I wouldn’t touch Lamet in any cash game, but would consid
